One of the great things about Eugene is it is full of bike trails and routes. You can bike anywhere, and so we do. We average only about 3 miles/week on our car and that is mostly from church. The only problem with riding your bike everywhere is that you have to be smart about grocery trips. Normally we buy our produce at the Saturday Market so our grocery runs during the week are pretty small, but not this week. Missed the Saturday market so our trip to Trader Joes was ridiculous. Dan rode his street bike, and I the beach cruiser with the measly basket. We couldn't fit the bags in the basket though so we had to unpack some groceries and expose our eating habits to all those we passed. I don't know the point of this post, it seemed like a big deal and really funny when we were riding home, but now it doesn't seem as worthwhile. Sorry readers.
