Happy Mother's Day

Some things my mother has taught me:

1) baths are better than showers and taking a warm bath can cure any ailment.
2) the best pre-bedtime snack is a bowl of cereal
3) how to 'read' other people
4) how to not be taken advantage of
5) learning something new, or being with Dan is more important than doing chores
6) a desire to constantly seek new skills or knowledge. cathie is constantly learning new things- harp, spanish, art, bridge, golf, etc.
7) how to master the cryptoquip 
8) car trips are always better with snacks
9) never answer the phone "this is her", it's "this is she"

Some other interesting things about my mom- she used to unicycle, one day her 'investment' in the california lotto is going to pay off, she is incredibly generous, she has amazing hair, and even though she is always bright and sweet- her sense of humor is pretty dark, along that note she is also hilarious.
