it's official...

my bike has successfully completed the Asian transformation. Yes, that is an umbrella holder on my bicycle, and yes it had to be imported from China. I came so close to buying one while I was in Japan (everyone has these on their bikes), but to my regret I passed up the purchase opportunity.

You may think it looks ridiculous, but when it's pouring rain, I will casually ride by you as you fight off the downpour in your rainpants and jacket, and think to myself, "now who looks ridiculous?"
